How To Get Here

Visitors may reach Alaska by air, land, or sea. Numerous commercial airlines fly in to the Anchorage airport. Then travelers can make the one hour flight to the city of Kodiak on either Alaska Airlines or ERA Aviation.

Kodiak is also served by the Alaska Marine Highway System. For those who believe that the journey can be half the fun, a ferry ride from Bellingham, Washington , may be just the ticket. Passengers can enjoy the spectacular scenery of "the Inside Passage" without paying cruise ship prices! The ferries stop at numerous cities and villages along the way, and a trip can be planned for visitors to disembark in the town of Kodiak, or in the nearby native village of Port Lions.

Alternately, the "Alcan" (Alaska-Canada) highway is a pleasant three or four day drive from Washington to Alaska, where adventurers can board the ferry in either Homer or Seward.

I felt so lucky to spend a week with you guys at Alderwood.

We truly enjoyed our visit here…the fishing, whale-viewing and kayaking.  We hope for a return trip.  Thanks for everything.
