There is something so spiritually rejuvenating about being miles away from civilization that I decided I wanted to share this amazing place with those who could most benefit by it: today’s women. Women in today’s society have so many responsibilities that they can easily become emotionally and physically drained. When they take time out to recharge their spirits, everyone whose lives they touch is better for it. They’re able to bring more energy and a renewed sense of self to everything they do.
It has taken nearly a year for my dream of hosting women’s retreats to become a reality, but I firmly believe it will have been worth the wait. Alderwood Retreat has teamed up with local Alaskan service providers and “The Backrub Company” of Arizona to create a “Girlfriend’s Getaway” that will create memories sure to last a lifetime!
As if the setting alone were not impressive enough, the variety of classes and workshops that will be offered will keep guests active and intrigued from the moment they arrive until, all too soon, it’s time to return to the hustle and bustle of life in the city. My hope is that the time they will have spent on “the Emerald Isle” will leave an imprint so deep in their soul that merely reminiscing on the journey will renew them all over again.
