Dining
at Alderwood Retreat
All
dining takes place "family-style"
in the main cabin. Breakfast is served when
our guests feel like starting their day,
and no earlier! Boxed lunches are packed when
water activities are planned,
otherwise a hearty lunch is served in the main
cabin around mid-day. We usually sit down to
dinner around 7:00.
 Bread
is made from freshly-milled wheat, jams/jellies/syrups
are made from rhubarb from the garden and local
berries, and salad is picked fresh from the
garden when available. Special diets (vegetarian,
diabetic, etc.) can be accommodated with sufficient
advance notice.

If I don’t leave soon Ginger and Karen will have me so fat with their cooking that I will not be able to climb in and out of the boat.
